I really love the internet. I just started appreciating tumblr. Wow.
I also really love my new pastime of running to the neighborhood cemetery. Since I live in a special neighborhood, the cemetery contained within is very special.
A few nights ago I expressed the joy that these runs give me and emphasized the historical significance of Mount Auburn Cemetery. Totally important cemetery, as it was one of the first designed with consideration of the 19th century attitudes toward death. Attitudes such as the desire to be surrounded by nice plants, Gothic (revival?) and Egyptian (duh revival) stuff in a peaceful place to think about death and the passage of time. Mount Auburn reminds me of Highgate Cemetery in London for similar features.
Remind me that discussion of botanical cemeteries ideally should out side of techno dance times!
Since then I have slept better. Recent developments lead me to conclude that I will not be sleeping in the month of September.
